Year of Commission – 1973, revamped in 2014 with New Burner, New Economiser and related Structural & Piping Modifications for Auxiliary Boiler and Economiser Tube Bundle and Structure modifications for Superheater

The Auxiliary Boiler, manufactured by Babcock Oberhausen, is equipped with a superheater to meet the fertilizer plant's Saturated Steam Requirements. It was originally engineered with a capacity of 270 Tons per hour and was operating at 150 Tons per Hour based on the Steam Requirement. The boiler was revamped in 2014 with new Burners and an Economizer Module.

TCR Advanced Engineering, a well-reputed Company in this field, carried out the condition and Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) on December 2023. The boiler and superheater unit has been meticulously examined for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and metallurgical condition assessments. The results affirm that the equipment exhibits no significant abnormalities, providing confidence in its operational integrity. Based on the inspection results, the boiler and Superheater's remaining life is considered 20 years or more.

The unit has been dismantled in modules after 3D Scanning and Match Marking with QR Codes for asset tracking, taking into consideration less effort in re-assembly. All the assets were preserved per the applicable Preservation Procedure.
