Ammonia II (800 MTPD)
The plant was commissioned in 1973 with a production capacity of 800 MTPD under the process licence of Haldor Topsoe. It underwent a revamp and upgraded in 2002 to reach its current capacity of 880 MTPD. The Steam System for the unit consists of a Babcock boiler with 150 Tons per hour capacity and a Waste Heat Boiler of 130 T/Hr, and the Total Saturated Steam Production is 270 T/Hr from the Super Heater. The Primary Reformer (Babcock Bosig) was integrated with new catalyst tubes (replaced in 2014). The key equipment of the plant consists of the Ammonia Converter equipped with S-300 baskets, Nuovo Pignone made Steam Turbine-driven compressors for Natural gas, Process Air, Synthesis Gas, and Ammonia needs. Other major equipments include Secondary Reformer, Absorbers, Converters, Regenerators, Separators, Condensers Heat Exchangers, etc.
